9 Different Types of Boob Shapes & Sizes

Not all boobs are created equal – and thank goodness for that. But aside from big boobs or small boobs, did you know they can be asymmetric or bell shaped, too? There are so many ways to define different breasts beyond just breast size.

Just because your boobs aren’t like other boobs doesn’t mean they’re not normal. In fact, we’d argue that if all boobs looked the same, none of them would be normal. That’d just be weird. Ever heard of that song, “Do Your Boobs Hang Low?” by Koit. It’s…a bop. And it is a simple reminder that all boobs are different. Therefore, all boobs are normal.

There are so many different breast shapes and sizes in the world, but we’re about to go over nine of the most common types of breast shapes and what bralettes we recommend for each shape.

Aysemmtric

Are your boobs sisters, not twins? We love that for you. Something else we love? Bralettes. They’re perfect for asymmetric shaped breasts. Try our FeelFree Triangle Bralette and FeelFree Lace Triangle Bralette for adjustable convertible straps.

Athletic

Do you work out? We can tell. ;) If you have more muscular breasts with less tissue, prioritize comfort. Check out our classic U-Back Bralette and T-Back Bralette for a flattering silhouette and gentle support. But tbh, you can pick any one of our bralettes. As long as we have the right size for you, you’ll be comfortable.

Bell

For boobs that are thinner at the top and fuller at the bottom, look for fuller coverage to help support you naturally. Try our FeelFree Longline Bralette, FeelFree Lace Longeline Bralette, our new Curvy U-Back Bralette, and FeelFree Curvy Ruched Bralette. We don’t do wires here, so you get the most support wirefree with all of our bralettes.

East West

Do your boobs kind of look like they’re looking in opposite directions? We promise that’s totally normal. Your breast shape is known as east west, and it’s very common. When your breasts point outward, bring your breasts together with fuller coverage. We recommend our FeelFree Longline Bralette, FeelFree Lace Longeline Bralette, and FeelFree Ruched Bralette.

Relaxed

Do your nipples point downward? Have less tissue? Then your boob shape is relaxed. Congrats on having the chillest of boobs. You’re gonna want a bralette that naturally lifts and supports you more. Explore our FeelFree Lace Plunge Bralette, Breathe Racerback Bralette, and Breathe Scoop Bralette for more of a scoop front style with lifting support.

Round

If you’ve got fuller boobs at the top and bottom, then you have a round shape. You’ll probably find that you like most of our bralettes because they’re all comfortable and supportive without the fuss of underwires. Our top picks: FeelFree Longline Bralette, our new Curvy U-Back Bralette, and FeelFree Curvy Ruched Bralette.

Side Set

For wider set boobs, choose bralettes that bring them naturally together. Sort of like for our East West shaped friends. Who doesn’t love a good get together? Give our FeelFree Triangle Bralette, FeelFree Lace Triangle, FeelFree Longline Bralette, and FeelFree Lace Longeline Bralette a chance.

Slender

For thinner set boobs, you’ll also want to pick out a bralette that gives you a natural and flattering fit. Because of your more cone shaped breasts, it’s good to go with our FeelFree Lace Plunge Bralette and Breathe Scoop Bralette.

Tear Drop

Last but certainly not least is our tear drop shaped boobs. These breasts are round but a little less full at the top. You can wear so many different bralettes and find that they all work for you. So it’s more about preference here, but you can’t go wrong with our FeelFree Longline Bralette, FeelFree Lace Longline Bralette, and Breathe Racerback Bralette.

Every Bralette You Need

Friendly reminder: You can go with whatever your left boob (heart) tells you. We have so many bralettes for every breast shape and size, like our new Curvy Bralettes. And if you can’t already tell, our bralettes work on most boob shapes and sizes. They’re also available in sizes XS-4XL. Finding your perfect bralette just depends on what works for your style and comfort. The best way to find out which one is your bralette soulmate is by trying them all. So go ahead, give ‘em a whirl.
