Going Green with MeUndies: How This Sustainably Sourced Underwear Brand is Making a Difference

There’s nothing that feels as good as a new pair of underwear, but is that pair of underwear good for the world? If you aren’t shopping for sustainable fabrics, the answer might very well be no.

“Sustainability” means meeting needs without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. Our Undies are made from natural resources, so it’s important to us that our use of these natural resources doesn’t harm the environment. What we take, we put back in.

Feel good about what you put on your body with sustainable fabrics. Ethical underwear is an amazing way to reduce your personal carbon footprint and when it comes to our Undies, they’re amazingly cute.

Our Fabrics

Not only do we offer sustainably-sourced fabrics, but all of the dyes we use are low impact. This means they don’t contain chemicals harmful to the environment and require less rinsing, which means less water usage.

Our Packaging

We want you to feel good about what you wear, as well as how it’s packaged. Our pouch mailers are made from 100% post-consumer recycled material, which is also recyclable. Just unwrap, wear, and recycle. It’s that simple.

MicroModal

Our signature MicroModal fabric is sourced from beechwood trees and spun into the softest fibers you can possibly imagine. It’s stretchy, super-soft, and sustainable.

Swim

Sustainability doesn’t stop at Undies. MeUndies’ Swim is also sustainably sourced. Our women’s Swim is made from recycled nylon fabrics (like fishing nets), and our men’s Swim liners are made from recycled water bottles. Dive into the ocean in something that’s good for the ocean.

Our Factories

Being ethical isn’t strictly just about your fabric choice. It also goes into how our clothes are actually cut and sewn. We partner only with factories that do exceptional work by treating their employees with exceptional respect. It’s important to us that everything that goes into our Undies (and everything else) is good for everyone, from the people who wear ‘em to the people who make ‘em.

Employees First. Period.

We vet our factories based on three benchmarks — fair trade, empowerment, and transparency — to ensure they meet our highest standards for employee treatment, equality, and betterment.

Fair Trade

We seek factories who value their employees and the environment by issuing fair wages and quality working conditions.

Empowerment

We want employees to feel empowered, so we look for partners who offer free classes, programs, meals, and transportation.

Transparency

We audit often and build personal relationships with every vendor to ensure accountability and honest communication.

So go ahead, get those ethical boxers or ethical bras! There’s nothing better than looking good, feeling good, and feeling good about what makes you look good. You get it.
