Face Your Fear

For some insane reason...we do this every year: It’s night, we dim the lights, light a candle, and create the creepiest ambiance possible. We press play on the latest scary movie and tense up as we watch pure horror inhabit our brain for the next two hours (and our nightmares for the next two weeks.)

This is some seriously bananas human behavior. Why do we do this to ourselves? And why is there an entire season based around being scared? Why can’t Halloween be a holiday where we celebrate puppies and rainbows instead?

Deep down, we all wish we could face our fears. Whether it be a fear of heights, fear of flying, fear of public speaking, or fear of failure. On the surface, Halloween can be haunted houses and scary costumes. But it can also be a time to stand up to what terrifies us most.

Highly Spun is a fun glow-in-the-dark Halloween print, sure, but it also represents our desire to overcome our own fears. So if you’re terrified of spiders, if you’re scared that the glow in the dark print will jump out at you when you least expect it, if you freak out whenever you walk through a web...well, this is obviously the print for you.
